Our friendly store in New Lynn, West Auckland, takes
the stress out of shoe shopping for the entire family.
We stock the best brand range in Auckland, with a wide array of quality footwear from well-known brands in the latest styles - including Converse, Vans and Dr Martens.

My name is Annabel, and I’m the owner of Gr8 Gear. But just like you, I started out as a customer!
In 2019, I walked in to buy a pair of shoes and saw the store was planning to close down. I couldn’t let that happen!
With plenty of experience in what it takes to run a
business (and a good head for numbers), I saw the potential in this local business and jumped all in, quitting my job and becoming the proud owner of the
best shoe shop in the west!
My favourite part of running Gr8 Gear (besides the
awesome products we stock) is meeting and assisting you. When I can help someone walk out of the shop with a smile, my day is made.
